Back by popular demand- this tour sold out quickly in 2021, so don’t wait to sign up! The blaze of color in the mountains of West Virginia is called some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the world! West Virginia fills with miles of the colorful splendor and you'll see some of it by rail, as we explore remote areas of West Virginia, where even automobiles cannot access. See incredible colors, rivers, and breath-taking waterfalls, including the High Falls of Cheat, an 18' high, 150' wide waterfall located in one of the most remote and pristine settings in the region. Panoramas of the lofty Appalachians become more beautiful as the train climbs higher, and you feel as if you are entering a completely different world, mainly because of the change in trees, flowers, and atmosphere. The rustic overlook affords one of the most awesome, overwhelming spectacles in the east.
Dwarfed by distance and almost lost in the vastness of the panorama is the giant Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope, at the Green Bank Observatory in the valley near the foot of the mountain. This trip takes you back to an era when steam-driven locomotives were an essential part of everyday life. While in West Virginia we will also stop at Heritage Farm, a replica 19th-century Appalachian Village--and extra special in the fall--and enjoy evening dinners with live entertainment to cap our days! Then, we are off to Kentucky where we get a “taste” of the Bourbon Trail! Our time in the Bluegrass state is just as unique, as we explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail-an an unparalleled experience packed with flavor. Experience the truest expression of Woodford Reserve at the historic distillery in Versailles, Kentucky as you venture on a guided tour that explores the history, unique flavors, and much more. Then, atop Wild Turkey Hill, you’ll have the opportunity to sample the fruits of the master distillers at Wild Turkey. With a unique gift shop and delicious drinks- you won’t leave empty-handed! Don’t miss out on our special Fall Foliage Rails and Bourbon Trails tour.

Kick back and relax on this fun-filled day to Arkansas wine country that includes a scenic train excursion at the peak of our fall colors. Our tour begins on the Arkansas Missouri Railroad, whose passenger train offers 'A Window Seat to History' -- an opportunity to travel in the style of a bygone era. You can still enjoy the leisurely elegance of real train travel through the mountains and valleys of Northwest Arkansas inside your vintage 1920s car. Your journey includes lunch and will take you all the way to the top of the scenic Boston Mountains and into the historic Arkansas River Basin. Whatever your reason for taking the train, you are almost guaranteed to leave the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad with a feeling of nostalgic joy in your heart. Then, we will enjoy a different kind of "vintage" as we tour and taste three of Arkansas' wineries. Our first stop is Chateau Aux Arc, the world's largest planter of Cynthiana grapes, the largest U.S. Chardonnay vineyard outside California, and the largest Zinfandel planter in Arkansas.
You get to keep the glass when you leave this picturesque retreat! Then we're off to the Post Family Vineyards, growing grapes in Arkansas' river valley since the 1870s. Muscadine wine, once thought to be near impossible to make into a palate-pleaser, became a focus for this grape grower. You can enjoy either the 100% Muscadine grape juices or signature wines, or both! And our final winery is at Wiederkehr Village. Family-owned and operated since 1880, this winery has Arkansas roots and Swiss heritage. We will experience a wonderful cellar tour, wine tasting, and dinner at Wiederkehr's Weinkeller Restaurant --housed in the original hand-dug 1880 wine cellar listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Price includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation to wineries and train depot, a scenic train ride on Arkansas Missouri Railroad, lunch, dinner, and tours and tastings at three Arkansas wineries.

From original brick walkways to the wooden corrals-the Stockyards are truly where the West begins! Nothing embodies Western heritage better than the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. Established at the fork of the Trinity River in 1849 by Major Ripley Arnold, the Fort Worth Stockyards represented the last “civilized” outpost for cowboys driving cattle to market along the famous Chisholm Trail. By the mid-1870s, Fort Worth had become a major center for the buying and shipping of livestock, thanks to the Texas & Pacific Railroad. It soon became known as “Cowtown.” Rich in the Western tradition, the Fort Worth Stockyards hosts the world’s only twice-daily longhorn cattle drive. Explore 41 bars and restaurants, 50 shops, and over 17 must-see attractions, all surrounded by an authentic glimpse into the American West.
While in Fort Worth, experience the VIP Cowboy treatment when we attend the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo! This Thing is Legendary®! It’s not just a slogan. It’s why the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo has been the most authentic western lifestyle experience anywhere – since 1896. It’s exciting, it’s fun, and it’s 23 days of what makes Fort Worth the greatest city in Texas! Our VIP experience begins at the Cattle Raisers Museum with dinner, a Cash Bar, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Then kick up your boots with a meet and greet with the Pro Rodeo Stars, where you’ll also enjoy live music and a Wild West Photo booth. Our Rodeo adventure continues with a “Behind the Bucking Chutes” exclusive Dickies Arena Tour before we settle into our perfectly positioned gallery seats for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo PRORODEO Tournament. From bull riding and bronco bucking to calf roping and barrel racing--there's not another western lifestyle event with more rich history than the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo!
From the new John Wayne Experience to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame- you’ll have the personal opportunity to learn what makes cowboys and cowgirls flock to the brick walkways of the Stockyards. You’ll also get a “taste” of Texas when we visit the Whiskey Ranch Distillery- the largest whiskey distillery west of the Mississippi! Fort Worth offers Texas-Sized hospitality welcoming all guests with one big “Howdy!”
Before leaving town we will enjoy an included tour and lunch at Southfork Ranch! Nestled on 357 acres of ranch land, Southfork is the prime location of the Dallas set and home to the famous Ewing Mansion. Go on a guided tour of Southfork Ranch, then have a true Cowboy Chuckwagon lunch, complete with cowboys and ranch hands telling cowfolk stories. It’s a true western experience that’s sure to make for a memorable afternoon before heading home to Arkansas.
