Experience our Peak of Adventure Tour and feel like you're on cloud nine! This tour is packed with enough thrills to make you want to shout it from the mountain tops. Join us for an entertaining journey through the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, a leisurely float down the Rio Grande River in Taos, New Mexico, a thrilling ride on the Cog Railway, and encounters with roaring waterfalls and wildlife. These are just a taste of the experiences you'll have on our Peak of Adventure Tour, where jaw-dropping views and heart-pounding attractions will leave you speechless.

We'll leave Little Rock, overnighting en route for our first stop --the Plaza of Santa Fe--- for a delightful afternoon in the heart of the city for nearly 400 years. The Plaza remains the central part of the city, hosting Indian and Spanish Markets, where there’s more than enough to see, do, eat, and buy. Here we'll take a moment to appreciate standing in the heart of the oldest capital city in the United States, which was founded in 1610. After some time in Santa Fe, we'll check into our hotel in nearby Taos, New Mexico, for the next two nights. Drawn by clean air and mythical light, Taos is New Mexico’s Soul of the Southwest. Experience rich spiritual traditions, distinctive cuisine, a thriving music scene and of course, the raw, natural beauty of the landscape. Our hotel even has live music each night to cap each night! While in Taos, we include a float trip down the Rio Grande river -- a once in a lifetime experience. While this may sound daunting, we've chosen a very easy rafting adventure—one for all ages, giving you ample time to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and experience the thrill of a few small rapids. The Rio Grande River in the Rio Grande Gorge is one of the most beautiful canyons in the Southwest. Enjoy incredible views, led by excellent raft guides.

Then we'll visit Taos Pueblo --the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multistory adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years. Archaeologists say that ancestors of the Taos Natives lived in this valley long before Columbus "discovered" America and hundreds of years before Europe emerged from the Dark Ages. The main part of the present buildings were most likely constructed between 1000 and 1450 C.E. and appeared much as they do today when the first Spanish explorers arrived in Northern New Mexico in 1540.

After two nights in Taos we're off to Colorado Springs. We'll first stop in nearby Pueblo, Colorado—for lunch and an afternoon at the Riverwalk where you'll enjoy this urban waterfront of gondola boat rides, food, and entertainment. Then it's time for Garden of the Gods--a National Natural Landmark featuring dramatic views. Admire the 3002 sandstone rock formations against the backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies. Garden of the Gods is home to a plethora of geological and ecological rarities that make the park a prime site for nature lovers. After our visit here, it's time to check into our Colorado Springs hotel for the next two nights. We'll then enjoy a chuckwagon dinner---at a place known for its unparalleled views, rustic "saddle" decor, and sandstone rock formations, and added charm of a working cattle ranch. Featuring a rousing Western stage show and a classic American chuckwagon meal, the Chuckwagon Supper and Original Western Stage Show will create memories of a lifetime.

The next day we're off to see a breathtaking national icon—Pike's Peak. Imagine what you’ll discover as we board the Cog Railway and train up the 9-mile journey to the top of this 14,115-foot National Historic Landmark. This striking mountain of granite, carved by glaciers over millions of years, was home to the Ute Indians long before anyone explored the region. Beautiful scenery surrounds a range of wildlife, from foxes, coyotes, and elk to bighorn sheep and whistling yellow-bellied marmots above timberline. And then there’s the summit, with its sweeping 360-degree views of the Pikes Peak region, vistas that inspired the song of a nation and natural beauty that has drawn generations of explorers and travelers. More than just a mountain, Pikes Peak is emotionally moving: this is the place that inspired "America the Beautiful", written by Katharine Lee Bates. Her experience in 1893 on top of Pikes Peak moved her to pen the poem that became one of the most patriotic songs honoring America. Once you make your way to the top of Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain, it’s hard to say how the experience will move you.

Our second highlight of Colorado Springs is called "The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado." Seven Falls has been a treasured piece of Colorado Springs history that is a truly inspirational destination. A sojourn there is so much more than just a visit to a waterfall. The enclave is reminiscent of an otherworldly, mystical garden that is a feast for the senses. The combination of the sound of rushing water, the sight of the variety of flora and fauna, the scent of the ever-present dampness mixed with fresh mountain air, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings is a true balm for the soul. The series of seven waterfalls is located in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules, and tumbles over 180 feet through seven distinct leaps of sparkling water. Yes, the falls can be accessed by traversing steps to the top, but we include a "zip ride" up 14 stories to the Eagle’s Nest observation platform via a swift elevator ride!

After our second night in Colorado Springs, we're off to nearby Rocky Mountain National Park for one final adventure. Get ready to experience tthe Top of the World Tour—the activity to do in Estes Park. It was also voted a top 5 thing to do in Colorado, and one of the top 10% of things to do Worldwide! You'll board an all-terrain vehicle and take an entertaining guided photo tour through the majestic Rocky Mountain National Park. Hear amazing information with extremely knowledgeable guides. See roaring waterfalls with the opportunity to take great photos. Enjoy photographing wildlife like Moose, Elk, Big Horn Sheep, Deer and more. Experience Old Fall River Road as you are driven over 12,000 feet in elevation. The stunning views will leave you in awe. After one more night in Colorado to "come back down to earth" we'll make our way back to Little Rock, overnighting one more night on the way home.
