As we depart Little Rock, we will step back in time as we make our way to one of the Mississippi River’s most charming cities, Natchez, Mississippi. Here you will be greeted with a vibrant history, a quaint and festive downtown, and Southern traditions. Our time in Natchez includes a tour and exclusive holiday dinner at "Jeweled Christmas at the Towers," as the only indoor display on the list, USA Today has named "The Jeweled Christmas at The Towers" one of the Top Ten Most Unusual Christmas Displays in the United States. Other highlights in Natchez include a guided city tour by a Natchez native, and a tour of Stanton Hall. Stanton Hall is the epitome of Antebellum splendor in the heart of Natchez, and is known as the premier historic attraction in Natchez. This afternoon, explore the festive Historic Downtown Natchez, the oldest permanent settlement on the Mississippi. Scenic streets, historic antebellum houses, churches, endless restaurants, quaint shops and riverwalks, make walking around downtown a unique experience. While in Natchez you will also enjoy a private dinner and tour at the Sunnyside historic home. This elegant, 1850's Greek-Revival cottage is situated on 10 acres near historic downtown. The gardens are picture perfect, and at Christmastime turns into a winter wonderland with more than 30 Christmas trees.

Our next destination, Natchitoches, is the Christmas Capital of the South! Ranked 3rd for the "Best Holiday Light Show" behind the Rockefeller Center and Disney World in the nation by Yahoo.com, celebrate the Christmas Season in Louisiana’s oldest city! Our time in Natchitoches will be spent eating at historic places, where you can indulge in a famous Natchitoches cuisine, and down on the riverbanks for an iconic Christmas Festival! Christmas in Natchitoches will be filled with live musical entertainment, arts and crafts, and food vendors, and to end the last evening, a magnificent fireworks show choreographed to holiday music over Cane River Lake. Christmas time is a time for tradition, and there is nothing more unique and charming, than a traditional Southern Christmas.
