It's more than a bustling, artistic shopping district; the smells and sights will delight your senses. Feast on delicious German delicacies and view the beautiful Chattahoochee River, which flows gently through the town which completes the Bavarian Alpine village scenery. Helen now has more than 200 specialty and import shops offering everything from candle making and glass blowing to cuckoo clocks and quilts. Dining options range from traditional German fare to traditional Southern.

And our time in Helen will be during their famous Christkindlmarkt --a traditional German event that offers everything from unique gifts and decorations to an assortment of savory and sweet foods, drinks and candied treats.The traditional Christkindlmarkt traces its origins back to a traditional German event where shoppers stock up on hand-crafted presents while enjoying sweet and savory treats and mulled wine. We'll depart Little Rock and stay overnight in Alabama. Our first night includes a visit to a waterfall park --filled with millions of lights, holiday displays and decorations. We'll enjoy spectacular views from the vantage of a ride on a train, which will surely bring out the holiday cheer in all of us! Christmas and trains have always been a magical combination. Then we're off to Georgia for our Alpine Christmas. We’ll visit the "Hallmark" town of Dahlonega-Catching this place during Christmastime is like peering into a snow globe that came to life when no one was looking. From the outside, Dahlonega is a whimsical holiday world draped in twinkling lights, with rambling horse-drawn carriages and visions of Santa Claus around every corner. But the town isn't frozen in perfection. This snow globe has been shaken up, leaving the scene brilliantly askew, delightfully mussed, and endlessly surprising. The Hallmark Channel even filmed one of its signature seasonal hits, "Christmas in Homestead," in Dahlonega years ago. We'll also enjoy time in the Blue Ridge Mountains—This mountain getaway feels as magical as the Man in Red himself. While we're in "the mountains" we'll enjoy the Mountain Country Christmas in Lights, a holiday treat along the shores of beautiful Lake Chatuge in the Northeast Georgia mountains. See a spectacular, magical holiday light show immersed in Christmas music, arts and crafts, food, fun, entertainment.

We'll depart Georgia after three magical nights, and overnight in Tennessee on our way home, for one last night full of Christmas surprises!
