Get ready for an exhilarating adventure with our American Trains and Treasures tour! This remarkable all-new itinerary will take you through the breathtaking natural wonders, rich historical landmarks, and iconic symbols of Americana that define our great nation. Reignite your patriotism as we visit the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg, where the tide of the Civil War turned in 1863. Stand in awe at Valley Forge, the winter encampment of George Washington and his brave Continental Army. Walk in the footsteps of history as we visit the very spot where the Declaration of Independence was signed and marvel at the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. But that’s not all! Indulge in delicious Civil War-themed cuisine, take in the stunning autumn scenery on scenic train rides through the Pocono Mountains, and hop aboard a unique tram tour that celebrates pop culture—where you’ll encounter the wacky, weird, and wonderful aspects of American life! As we journey northeast, our first stop is the breathtaking Natural Bridge of Virginia. Towering at 215 feet, this limestone gorge, carved by Cedar Creek, is surrounded by the stunning vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The lush forests and rolling meadows showcase the area's unique karst terrain and the picturesque James River Valley. After soaking in the beauty, we’ll spend the night at the charming Natural Bridge Historic Hotel, where history and comfort meet.

Next, we’ll delve deeper into our nation’s past as we explore Gettysburg National Military Park. With over 1,000 monuments and cannons lining 40 miles of scenic roads, this battlefield serves as a solemn tribute to the Union and Confederate soldiers who fought valiantly here. And to make the experience even more memorable, we’ll enjoy a delightful Civil War-themed luncheon in a historic tavern! Our adventure continues as we embark on a two-night stay in the captivating Valley Forge area! Get ready to explore the extraordinary American Treasure Tour museum. We'll hop on a tram and take a whimsical journey through a sprawling 100,000 square feet of pop culture. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds that defined our nation before the digital age, and discover how they resonate with today’s modern world. Prepare for an exhilarating experience filled with the wacky, the weird, and the wonderfully nostalgic—pictures alone cannot capture the magic! Next, we’ll visit the historic Valley Forge, where George Washington and the Continental Army sought refuge during the harsh winter of 1777-1778. This remarkable park preserves the iconic landscapes and monuments that honor the indomitable spirit of the Revolutionary War generation. Here, we’ll reflect on the power of unity, resilience, and transformation in the face of adversity. We’ll then spend a day in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, where we’ll visit the iconic Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and other nearby attractions. You’ll have some free time to explore on your own—perhaps you’ll pay a visit to Ben Franklin’s grave, the Betsy Ross House, or the Constitution Center.

Then, we’re off to the breathtaking Pocono Mountains for some fall fun among the serenity of the Pocono Mountains' setting. Our time in the Poconos includes two scenic train rides aboard vintage coaches pulled by diesel engines. We’ll traverse stunning routes, including the majestic Lehigh Gorge State Park, where high-rising cliffs, picturesque mountain scenery, and diverse wildlife await. We’ll also explore the historic town of Jim Thorpe, a hidden gem nestled in the Lehigh Gorge of Carbon County. This charming town, founded in 1818 and originally known as Mauch Chunk, offers the allure of a European village combined with the excitement of a mountain destination. Named after the legendary athlete Jim Thorpe, this town is rich in history and brimming with stories waiting to be uncovered. We’ll make our way back to Arkansas following a different route, heading west through Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky—with some extra stops along the way—including the home of John Glenn, and one of the largest and most innovative conservation centers in the world. You will want to grab your camera as we include an open-air safari ride for an exhilarating adventure through open-range landscapes seeing rhinos, zebras, and other endangered species. No it's not Africa…it’s Ohio! This tour encompasses the best of America’s treasures and a unique fun-filled itinerary that you'll never forget.
